erizzle This one hits me right in the feels. Every time. Thank God we're moving on as a country, though we do have a long, long ways to go.

about

“The inspiration for the song is the deep divide we have as a country. There is a feeling of ‘us vs. them’ that should not be. It is a false illusion created by a Puppet Master who seeks to control through division. The point of the song is that it’s a false narrative, we are all Americans. We may have a difference of opinions, but our country should always come before the Party.”

lyrics

Please take shelter and keep your head down
Don't trust no one, don’t make a sound
Oooh, it’s coming
Ooh, it’s time
Whose gonna be the first
to cross the line

Oh, the fire’s burning and the night is red
people are choking, holding back the Dead
There's a solution
Heavy pollution brings the dawn

Please take shelter and keep your head down
Don't trust no one, don’t make a sound
Please take shelter and keep your head down
Don't trust no one, don’t make a sound

No reason to panic
It's them instead
Rumors catch fire
when everyone's a liar

We make our escape, when the shootings (pause)
takes just what he needs, one more (for the cause)

so it’s us and them
they’d have you believe
there’s no difference in the colors
that we bleed

Divide and conquer
So the saying goes
Confide and slaughter
Where it ends you know

Please take shelter and keep your head down
Don't trust no one, don’t make a sound
Please take shelter and keep your head down
Don't trust no one, don’t make a sound

So I’m taking those precious to me
To higher ground and safety
Wait for the dawn and the days promised peace
It’s the end of the beginning as the riots release

Please take shelter and keep your head down,
don't trust no one don’t make a sound
